Terms & Conditions

  • It is the pupil’s sole responsibility to record lessons dates and times booked.
  • Payments are to be made upfront – 48 hrs before the lesson.
  • Intensive courses must be paid in full at least 7 days prior to commencement of the course.
  • 48 hours’ notice of cancellation must be given or the lesson will be charged at the instructor’s discretion.
  • Pass Plus and intensive courses require 7 days’ notice to cancel. No refund will be made if insufficient notice given.
  • The school may accept late cancelation and bookings changes where a client is seriously ill or has suffered an unavoidable injury requiring immediate medical care. We would regard “self-medicating” ailments e.g. cough, colds and headaches as minor illnesses and your payment would be lost should you cancel on this basis. Illnesses and injuries requiring medical attention at a walk-in-centre or A&E may be treated more seriously. For the avoidance of doubt, we do not regard sporting injures, pre-planned medical appointments or demands made by your employers/schools/colleges as acceptable reason to cancel and payment would be used to cover losses arising as a result thereof.
  • If you need to cancel or change any driving lesson, please call or text.
  • Instructors are bound by the same cancellation policy and we will offer you a free lesson or a refund where such notice has not been given. If your instructor running late you still will receive a full length of the lesson.
  • Should you wish to reduce lesson time for any reason whatsoever, no refund will be due.
  • ADI is committed to waiting for you at the agreed pick-up point for 15 minutes. Should you fail to arrive within this time and your instructor has gone, then the full lesson fee will still be payable. Please contact your ADI if you think you may be late.
  • If a pupil is required to wear glasses or contact lenses whilst driving and he/she fails to wear them on a driving lesson, then the lesson will be cancelled with the full charge to the pupil.
  • Blocks of 10 hours must be used in 3 months. Blocks of 30 hours must be used in 6 months. Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from date purchased.
  • The driving school cannot not be held responsible for electrical or mechanical breakdown faults occurring during any driving lesson or driving test.
  • The driving school reserves the right to withhold its own cars if, in the professional opinion of the driving instructor, the pupil has not reached the required standard for a driving test.
  • Any refunds will incur a £20.00 admin fee; this will be deducted off any refunds.
  • All Drive in UK cars are fully insured for tuition and driving tests.
  • A full hourly rate will be charged for the car being used for the test.
  • Test cancelation:  DVSA occasionally cancels tests without giving sufficient notice. Drive in UK cannot be held in any way responsible for any losses arising therefrom. Should this happen, your booking with Drive in UK will not be automatically cancelled and you still at liberty to make use of the time to continue training. The same rule shall be applied to test cancelled due to poor road, weather and traffic conditions.
  • Your ADI will advise you on all matters relating to the Highway Code and work with you to achieve a deep understanding of road rules and laws. Your ADI can be held liable for any deviation from the legal requirements placed upon you as a driver and any points, fines or penalties so incurred are your sole responsibility. Drive in UK reserve the right to terminate or refuse lessons to those repeatedly deviating from safe system of driving, with full lesson/course fees being payable.
